Project Summary:
VP System Developer Engineers created an Access application that managed all of Chiquita’s Quality Information System. The system took into consideration ripening of bananas, levels of gases in different ripening rooms as well as the shipments of bananas to supermarkets. The system was accessible by multiple departments via Citrix and we managed multiple users with linking of MS Access Database and SQL Server.
Because of this system Chiquita employees were able to determine the best time to get the fruit to the customer, saving the company millions in lost product.
